The origins of Housepitality and Uniting Souls are intricately linked, like branches of a family tree, dating back to the underground house scene of 1990's San Francisco. In the summer of 1997, Ramiro and Michael "Lil'T" Tello, joined forces to create Uniting Souls, producing the legendary series of daytime parties “Sunshine Daydream” and the monthly “Sound Textures”. In 1998, Tello launched Housepitality, inspired by the tight-knit, multi-city creative community growing with Uniting Souls. Housepitality has grown to be a force of its own as an award-winning club and crew cultivating talent and amplifying the house sound coast to coast.
Ramiro & Uniting Souls moved to Seattle in 2000, connecting with Jon Lemmon and his Viva Recordings crew to produce an ongoing series of collabs. In 2001 they began their long-running monthly "Life" at the Baltic Room, and continue to co-create events to the present-day. Their current monthlies “THIS!” (Viva's monthly event going 6-years strong), and Uniting Souls' “Diggin Deep” (launched in 2009, making it Seattle's longest-running house monthly) have both garnered international attention for their energetic, intimate vibe, showcasing A-list touring headliners alongside local talent.
Coming full circle, we’ll be celebrating Michael Tello's first single release as "Lil'T" — the clever, percussive Bompty Boom, due out April 2021 on Uniting Souls Music.
This is a free event, but your donations are welcome.
Donations will benefit Seattle’s Nightlife Relief Fund, a community-built network to advocate for and support professionals in the nightlife, music and arts industry, providing resources to help navigate life’s surprising turns.
